Why Should You Train Smithing?!
Well apart from maxing obviously, there are quite a few reasons to get 99 smtihing. Many BIS armor/weapons require a high smithing level... For example the bofa requires a smithing level of 82.
Fastest Experience
Fortunately training Smithing on SimpleScape is... Well... Simple! Below is the best method of training xp on any account type:
Level 1 to 15 - Bronze Bars
From level 1 to 15 Smithing, you will be smelting and then smithing Bronze bars. These can be smelted by combining 1 tin ore and 1 copper ore in a furnace. A good place to do this is the Skilling Zone (::sz).
To smelt bronze bars you will need tin and copper.
Level 15 to 40 - Iron Bars
From level 15 to 40 Smithing, you will be smelting Iron bars. These can be smelted by consuming 1 iron ore in a furnace. At level 15, Iron bars have a 50% chance to successfully smelt. Using a Ring of Forging will guarantee a successful smelt of an iron bar. A good place to do this is the Skilling Zone (::sz).
Level 40 to 99 - Gold Bars
From level 40 to 99 Smithing, you can smelt gold bars at the blast furnace! And guess what? You can even buy gold ore from here aswell! And it doesn't even require coal! How good.
To use the blast furnace place money in the coffer and the furnace will automatically operate for you.
From there you will need to place your gold ore in the conveyor belt
Once thats down, walk down the ramp and retrieve your gold bars from the bar dispenser
Then its just as easy as rinse and repeat!
--PLEASE NOTE--
Gold bars provide the fastest Smithing XP only if you have Goldsmith Gauntlets. These gauntlets can be purchased in the Skilling shop for 3,000 Skilling Points. To make it even quicker you can also buy the ice gauntlets to avoid having to wait for the gold bars to cool down.
Gold Bar Alternative
If you do not have Goldsmith Gauntlets and are unwilling to make the purchase, your best option for training Smithing is to create the highest-level item from the highest-level bar you can currently smelt. See the table under the Smelting tab for more information on the hierarchy of bars.Please note that smithing Platebodys will always be the most efficient way of training with bars.
