Theatre of Blood Rewards
Theatre of Blood Rewards Wiki
Overview
The Theatre of Blood (ToB) reward system determines what loot you receive based on your raid mode, completion time, contribution points, and RNG. This wiki explains how the system calculates rewards and who receives valuable unique drops ("purples").
Raid Modes and Requirements
Theatre of Blood has two different modes that affect your rewards:
- Normal Mode: Standard rewards with a 23% base chance for uniques
- Hard Mode: Enhanced rewards with a 30% base chance for uniques
The mode is determined by:
- Completion Time: Meeting the target time unlocks Hard Mode. Target times are:
- Solo: 65 minutes
- Duo: 30 minutes
- Trio: 25 minutes
- 4-player: 23 minutes
- 5-player: 22 minutes
Contribution Points System
Contribution points determine your chances of receiving a unique drop:
Starting Points:
- All players begin with 8 contribution points
- After Verzik is defeated, these 8 points are subtracted
Earning Points:
- +3 points for participating in each encounter (6 rooms = 18 possible)
- MVP bonuses (most damage) for each room:
- Maiden: +2 points
- Bloat: +2 points
- Nylocas: +1 point
- Sotetseg: +1 point
- Xarpus: +2 points
- Verzik: +2 points per phase (3 phases = 6 total)
Losing Points:
- -4 points each time you die
The maximum possible contribution points depends on party size, as only one player can be MVP per room.
Unique Drops (Purple Chest)
A "purple chest" appears when a player receives a unique drop. Other players see a purple chest at that player's position, while the recipient sees a purple chest with an arrow pointing to it.
Unique Drop Chance
The chance to get a unique drop is calculated as follows:
- Base chance determined by mode:
- Normal: 23%
- Hard: 30%
- Adjustments:
- If World Event is active: +25% (multiplied by 1.25)
- Party Performance Scaling:
- For Normal and Hard modes, the actual chance is reduced proportionally based on the party's total contribution points vs. maximum possible points
- Formula: ActualChance = BaseChance × (TotalPoints ÷ MaxPoints)
Unique Drop Table
The items that can drop from a purple chest vary by mode, with different weightings:

Drop Recipient Selection
If a unique item is rolled, the system selects a recipient based on contribution points:
- Calculate each player's percentage of the total contribution points
- Use a weighted random selection where players with higher contribution have a better chance
- The chosen player receives the unique item
Common and Tertiary Rewards
Common Rewards
All contributing players who didn't receive a unique item get:
- Three rolls on the common drop table
- The quantities are multiplied based on mode:
- Normal: 1.4× (140%)
- Hard: 1.6× (160%)
Tertiary Rewards
All contributing players have a chance at tertiary rewards, regardless of whether they got a unique item:
Normal Mode:
- Elite clue scroll: 1/6 chance
- Lil' Zik pet: 1/550 chance
Hard Mode:
- Elite clue scroll: 1/5 chance
- Holy ornament kit: 1/80 chance
- Sanguine ornament kit: 1/125 chance
- Sanguine dust: 1/225 chance
- Lil' Zik pet: 1/400 chance (improved from Normal mode)
Additionally, all players receive a random coin drop between 100,000 and 200,000 coins.

A: Raid mode (Normal/Hard), completion time, party contribution points, personal boosts (if applicable), and world events.
