Training Fishing
Level 1 to 5 - Shrimps
From level 1 to 15 you can catch Shrimps. Be sure to bring a small fishing net. They can be caught in the following locations:
- Skilling Zone at ::sz
- Catherby, at the beach near White Wolf Mountain.
- Draynor Village, near the willow trees and the bank.
It is recommend catching them in Skilling Zone, as it is the location with the closest bank
Level 5 to 15 - Sardines
From level 1 to 15 you can catch Sardines. Be sure to bring a fishing rod and bait. They can be caught in the following locations:
- Skilling Zone at ::sz
- Catherby, at the beach near White Wolf Mountain.
- Draynor Village, near the willow trees and the bank.
It is recommend catching them in Skilling Zone, as it is the location with the closest bank
Level 15 to 35 / 40- Trout / Salmon
From level 15 to 35 you can catch Trout / Salmon. Be sure to bring fly fishing rod and feathers. They can be caught in the following locations:
- Barbarian Village
- Lumbridge, near the goblins.
It is recommend catching them in Draynor, as it is the location with the closest bank
Level 35/40 to 76/99
From level 35/40 to 62 you can be catch Tunas/swordfish or Lobsters depending on which one you prefer. We recommend catching Tunas/swordfish. Be sure to bring a harpoon. They can be caught in the following locations:
- Skilling Zone at ::sz
- Catherby, at the beach near White Wolf Mountain.
- Fishing Guild with 68 Fishing
It is recommend catching them in Skilling Zone as it is the location with the closest bank
Level 76 to 82 / 99
From level 76 to 82 you can catch Sharks. Be sure to bring a harpoon. They can be caught in the following locations:

Level 82 to 99
From level 82 to 99 you can catch Anglerfish. Be sure to bring a fishing rod and sandworm bait (bought in the SimpleScape shop) They can be caught in the following location:

Alternative Training Method
AFK Zone
With a harpoon you can Harpoon the whirlpool at the AFK Zone. Get to the AFk Zone easily by doing ::afk. You get scaled experience with your level giving you a smaller experience per hour, but fully afk.
Helpful Equipment
Angler Outfit
For 3,000 Skilling Points each you can purchase Angler Hat, Angler Top, Angler Waders, Angler Boots. When equipped each piece provides bonus xp when catching fish.
