Server Rules

Disclaimer - The SimpleScape staff team reserves the right to discipline any member at their discretion, even if a specific rule is not explicitly stated. These guidelines cover general situations, but members are expected to use common sense to determine right from wrong in any circumstances not explicitly covered by the rules.

If you are unsure whether something is considered rule-breaking, please ask a staff member before doing so. It is a player's responsibility to know the rules or ask whether something is rule-breaking beforehand, we will not accept any excuses in punishment appeals.

1) Flaming, Disrespect, Harassment, and Inappropriate Content

--Many communities are composed of different backgrounds and beliefs, and we take the value of equality seriously. Remember that each person will take an insult differently depending on these values.

• Respect for Others: Disrespectful or inappropriate language targeting someone's beliefs, race, religion, or harassing other members is strictly prohibited. We have an ignore feature, but we still expect members to treat each other with respect. Using racial slurs will lead to an immediate mute without warning.

• Accusations: Accusing other players of breaking rules, such as scamming, hacking, botting, faking giveaways, or organising fake drop parties, is not allowed and can result in a mute. This rule applies to accusations against both individual players and clans. If you have evidence of rule violations, please report it properly.

• False Advertising: Falsely promoting any type of giveaway or drop party is a mutable offence. Additionally, advertising gambling clan chats is only permitted in designated areas, such as ::gamble, and should not be done in public chat or via the yell channel.

• Inappropriate Content: Any content deemed inappropriate by staff members, including but not limited to pornographic material or sensitive topic debates, is not allowed in the yell channel, public chat, or clan chat. Violations will be addressed accordingly.

• Staff Position Requests: Continuously messaging staff members about wanting a staff position is not acceptable. Positions must be earned. Harassing staff about this will result in a mute or permanent ban at the staff team's discretion. Additionally, if you have a staff application open and bring it up with other staff members, it will result in an automatic denial.

2) Advertising

Promoting other RSPS-related communities is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban without the possibility of appeal.

• Permitted Links: Well-known links such as Rune-Server, Runelocus, and YouTube are allowed. However, links must lead directly to the stated destination (e.g., a YouTube link must go to YouTube and not redirect to another site, regardless of its content).

• Non-RSPS Links: If you want to share a link that is not related to RSPS material, you must first send it to an administrator for approval.

Spamming on SimpleScape is strictly prohibited and will be addressed by the staff as necessary. We expect all members to act maturely and respect others' wishes. Persistent spamming may result in removal from the community.

• Yell Channel Usage: Do not abuse the yell channel. Allow a few seconds between each yell message. Remember, using the yell channel is a privilege, not a right.

• Auto-Typers: Auto-typers are not allowed in the yell channel or public chat, Please use the public auto-chat feature.

• Gambling Clan Advertisements: Advertising your gambling clan is only allowed within the designated gambling area (::gambling). However, you can use the yell channel to advertise the thread ID number for events, giveaways, etc.

• Service and Clan Advertisements: Advertising services in the home area or over yell is not permitted. Each clan is limited to one advertisement in the home area.

4) Misleading Links, Hacking, and Threats

• Misleading Links: Posting misleading links is strictly forbidden. Links must lead directly to the advertised content. Violating this rule will result in permanent removal from the community.

• Hacking: Any form of hacking will lead to immediate and permanent removal from the community.

• Threats: Threatening members in ways that endanger their life, security, or reputation will result in permanent removal from the community.

• Privacy Violations: Sharing private or personal information anywhere on the server is a serious offence and will be punished without warning.

5) Punishment Evasion

All punishments are handed out with enough evidence to show that you should either no longer be able to use certain services or be a part of the community. If you evade your punishment, harsher punishments will be handed out. We advise members to make an appeal instead of evading the punishment.

6) Third-Party Software

The use of third party software that allows players to gain an unfair advantage in any way will result in a punishment that the staff member attending sees fit, this usually is a temporary ban, but can result in permanent ban. We want a fair environment where all players have the equal chance of all features. This is including but not limited to: Auto-clickers, Auto Typers, Bots, Ghost-mousing, Auto-hotkeys, etc. There's no reason to risk it!

7) Real-World Trading

Buying or selling goods, including accounts, real-life items, RSGP, Microsoft points, Riot points, and items from other private servers for SimpleScape items, is strictly prohibited. We will take action against such activities as they undermine the integrity of the community and create support issues we cannot manage. We will not be responsible for any scams or hacks resulting from these transactions.

• Accounts and Currency: Buying or selling any SimpleScape account or currency on the server or Discord is not allowed. The first offence will result in a permanent ban with no chance of appeal; a second offence will lead to an IP ban.

• Donator Status: Selling or buying donator status for an existing account is prohibited on the server and discord. Advertising this will result in a 24-hour mute. However, members are allowed to donate for each other (e.g., member 'A' buys member 'B' donator status, and member 'B' pays member 'A' 300m).

• Real World Trading: Any attempts at real-world trading are also punishable offences.

8) Encouraging Rule Breaking

Members that are somehow encouraging others to break a rule whether or not he/she understands the rule will result in a mute or ban at the discretion of the staff.

Abusing bugs or glitches to gain an advantage over other players or the server is strictly prohibited. All members are required to report any bugs or glitches as soon as they are discovered. Failure to do so will result in permanent removal from the community.

10) Refunds, Scams, and Disconnects , etc.

• Disconnections will only qualify for a refund if there is video evidence showing the user disconnecting.

• Donations will be refunded only if the recipient has not received their items or position (Discord or server) within 72 hours. Refunds will not be issued for items lost due to the user's actions.

• Server or Discord resets will be refunded upon submission of valid proof of purchase in the appropriate board. Without such proof, refunds will not be processed.

• Scamming includes creating impostor accounts, trade manipulation, item deception, duel arena scams, gambling without sufficient funds, staking with borrowed items, and failing to honour wagers. Even attempted scams are treated as violations.

• For gambling or staking with borrowed items, evidence such as trade interface screenshots and chat logs confirming the agreement is required. Offenders face an immediate permanent ban, with repeat offences resulting in community expulsion.

• Refunds for gambling-related scams require video evidence; photo reports will not be accepted. Players are urged to use the automated gambling system and record all transactions. Such scams result in permanent bans on the first offence and IP bans on subsequent ones, with no appeal process.

• Account sharing is at the player's discretion, but the original account owner is responsible for any associated penalties such as jail, mute, ban, or other punishments.

• Refunds may be considered for hacked accounts or stolen items, although refunds are not guaranteed.

• Glitch refunds will only be considered with 100% evidence, including proof of items before the glitch occurred. Refund decisions may be declined if deemed insufficient by authorised personnel.

10) Yell Channel

You are not allowed to use the Yell Channel to advertise clan-chats unless you are a staff member or have received explicit permission from a staff member. This restriction covers gambling chats, clan channels, and similar.

• Flame Baiting and Abuse: Using the Yell command for flame-baiting, flaming, trolling, or any other form of abuse is strictly prohibited. Violators may have their Yell command privileges revoked permanently.

• Luring Members: It is against our rules to lure members over the Yell channel. Doing so can result in permanent removal of your Yell command privileges.

• Advertising Streams and Sales: If you wish to advertise a stream or sell/purchase items over the Yell channel, you must use the auto-yell feature that is available. Auto-typers are no longer allowed on Yell.

• AFK Advertisement: Advertising while AFK over Yell or other in-game advertisements, is prohibited.

• Language Requirement: Only English language is permitted on the Yell channel for moderation purposes.

These guidelines are enforced to maintain a fair and respectful environment for all players on the server.

11) PvP (Player vs. Player)

SimpleScape is not liable for losses or disconnections in the wilderness, which is entered at players' own risk. However, the following rules apply:

• PVP-Farming: Engaging in PVP-farming, which includes soliciting or exchanging kills without legitimate combat, will result in an automatic ban or IP-ban with no chance of appeal.

• Luring: Luring is generally accepted in many RSPS communities and RuneScape itself. However, on SimpleScape, luring staff members for assistance or any other purpose is prohibited and may result in punishments up to and including a ban.
• Multiple Accounts: Using more than one of your own accounts to engage in the same activity in the Wilderness is prohibited. This applies to both PvP and PvM activities. Examples include, but are not limited to: using multiple accounts to fight a boss in the Wilderness, using an account to PJ or protect another one of your accounts, and using an account to scout for players while doing activities on other accounts in the Wilderness.
• Griefing: Any form of griefing—including trolling or deliberately disrupting another player’s experience—is strictly prohibited.

12) Mass Voting

Abuse of the vote system in any form or fashion that results in an unfair advantage will result in a permanent ban.

13) Support Clan Chat

The SimpleScape support clan chat is dedicated solely to assisting and supporting our community. Please reserve all other conversations for private messages or different clan chats to avoid distracting those seeking help. The following rules are strictly enforced within the support clan chat:

• Disruptive Behaviour: This includes trolling, spamming, flaming, flame-baiting, harassment, posting inappropriate content, and sharing misleading or false information.

• Luring: Luring is generally accepted in SimpleScape except within the support clan chat, where it is strictly prohibited.

• Advertising: Advertising marketing, gambling, other clan chats, or servers is strictly forbidden in the support clan chat.

• Language Requirement: Only English language is permitted in the support clan chat for moderation purposes.

We are committed to providing assistance in any way possible. Please refrain from using the support clan chat for venting about punishments, scams, or glitches. Use the resources linked at the top of this thread for such concerns.

15) Services

SimpleScape will NOT be enforcing any rules regarding services, these include but not limited to,

• Skill Training
• Minigame Training
• Inferno Services

Important Server Disclaimer

By being in the server/Discord, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the rules outlined above. You accept responsibility for your actions and acknowledge that these rules will be enforced consistently. The administration team reserves the right to adjust punishments beyond what is stated here at their discretion. Your account is under our ownership, and any actions taken are at our discretion.

You understand that the administration team has the authority to make changes to your account as necessary, and you agree that requesting a refund after such changes are made is not permissible.

The staff team is obligated to provide evidence in cases involving rule violations. While we protect the privacy of those who report violations, we may need to disclose information for investigation purposes.

We are not liable for content posted within the discord, although we will take action upon reporting or discovery. We are not responsible for any damage or information theft resulting from third-party actions within this community. Inappropriate content that may be encountered, such as explicit material or drug-related discussions, is the responsibility of parents to monitor.

When reporting a community member, you must provide a full-screen picture of the client and computer. Reports that are cropped or incomplete will not be processed. For reports against staff members, video proof is required to prevent falsification and unnecessary conflict.

All punishment durations are subject to adjustment based on the severity of the rule violation.
