Pain VI: /* Training Farming */

Why train farming?
Did you know farming is technically the quickest 99 you can get in terms of hours spent actively farming? The rest is just waiting around for your crops/trees to grow. Fortunately on SimpleScape all grow timers are 4x that the rate of OSRS! For example, a Magic Tree which gives over 1 million XP (50x GameMode) only takes 2 hours to grow!

In short though Farming is a pretty essential skill to get to 99. Its an ironmans best friend, paired with herblore. Farming even translates into late game content, for example Chambers of Xeric!

How To Train Farming..?
There are quite a lot of ways to train farming... All the way from being at AFK zone (A lot of people do this to start off with to get a few starting levels - All the way to planting Magic Trees.

Please Note in this guide I will be covering the most commonly used method to get to 99 farming for the non extreme game modes. If you are on 10x or 3x I recommend either doing what I've listed (just a lot more times) or looking up the efficient farming guides on youtube for OSRS, as most of them translate on SimpleScape.

Levels 1-15
For the first few levels, there are two main methods used.

Method 1 - Planting Allotments

To get to level 15 you can plant allotments, specifically: Potatoes, Cababges, and Tomatoes. You will need 3 seeds of each of the fore-mentioned seeds to plant one allotment. You will also need the following tools:

*Rake

*Seed dibber – to plant the seeds.

*Spade – to harvest the crops once they’re grown.

*Watering can - to water the crops

*Gardening trowel

*Compost/Supercompost/Ultracompost - to help the success rate of your crops!

You can find all the necessary tools needed at the Shopkeeper at Home:

Here is a list of allotment patches:

*South of Falador

*North of Catherby

*North-east of Ardougne

*South-east of Great Kourend

They look like this on the minimap:

Method 2 - The Afk Zone

While I definitely dont encourage you to AFK on the best RSPS there is out there - for the higher game modes (50x and 25x)... The AFK zone can be a good first way of getting those first 15 levels somewhat quickly.

You can do this by getting a pair of secateurs and harvesting Yggdrasil as pictured below:

Levels 15-99 - Trees
For the remainder of your journey I recommend combining all methods of farming: Allotments, Herbs and Trees.

From level 15 you can plant Oak Trees. While Trees are slow, they give insane amounts of XP across all game modes.

You will also need the following tools to get a tree planted:

*Spade

*Rake

*Watering can (for saplings)

*Trowel (for planting saplings)

*Tree sapling (grown from a tree seed and filled plant pot)

Getting Seeds
To get tree seeds in SimpleScape you can either PickPocket Master Farmers (38 thieving minimum, 99 and rogues outfit recommended) however you will get an assortment of seeds, not just tree seeds. Tree seeds being rarer aswell. You can find them all across the world, the Farming Guilding and Draynor Village being popular options.

For a more targeted approach you can get them from monsters! Just look up whatever seed you would like in your drop viewer found in your achievement tab > server details > drop viewer:

Preparing Saplings
To plants trees you will need to prep some saplings... Heres how you do it!

*Use a tree seed on a filled plant pot (with soil). You can buy these from the ShopKeeper at Home. Also make sure you have a gardening trowel

*Water the pot with a watering can to create a sapling.

*Wait for the sapling to grow (approximately 30 secodns real-time).

Planting The Tree
Once you have all of that sorted, time for planting! Here is a list of tree locations:

*Varrock Castle

*Falador Park

*Taverley

*Lumbridge (Behind Lumbridge Castle)

*Tree Gnome Stronghold

*Farming Guild

Tree Patch Locations look like this on the mini map, be sure to hover over the spade icon to make sure it is a patch if in doubt:

Harvesting Tree
Once you have waited the appropriate amount of time a "Check Health" option will appear when you right click the tree. Once you click this you will be rewarded the corresponding XP (Its HEAPS!) and then you will need to chop it down.

Because I'm lazy asf, I just pay the NPC next to the tree 200 coins to chop it down for me lol...

Levels Needed
Here is a list of levels needed for trees... God I love talking this much about trees.

In Summary
Smithing Training
Why Should You Train Smithing?!
Well apart from maxing obviously, there are quite a few reasons to get 99 smtihing. Many BIS armor/weapons require a high smithing level... For example the bofa requires a smithing level of 82.

Fastest Experience
Fortunately training Smithing on SimpleScape is... Well... Simple!
Below is the best method of training xp on any account type:

Level 1 to 15 - Bronze Bars
From level 1 to 15 Smithing, you will be smelting and then smithing Bronze bars. These can be smelted by combining 1 tin ore and 1 copper ore in a furnace. A good place to do this is the Skilling Zone (::sz).

To smelt bronze bars you will need tin and copper.

Level 15 to 40 - Iron Bars
From level 15 to 40 Smithing, you will be smelting Iron bars. These can be smelted by consuming 1 iron ore in a furnace. At level 15, Iron bars have a 50% chance to successfully smelt. Using a Ring of Forging will guarantee a successful smelt of an iron bar. A good place to do this is the Skilling Zone (::sz).

Level 40 to 99 - Gold Bars
From level 40 to 99 Smithing, you can smelt gold bars at the blast furnace! And guess what? You can even buy gold ore from here aswell! And it doesn't even require coal! How good.

To use the blast furnace place money in the coffer and the furnace will automatically operate for you.

From there you will need to place your gold ore in the conveyor belt

Once thats down, walk down the ramp and retrieve your gold bars from the bar dispenser

Then its just as easy as rinse and repeat!

--PLEASE NOTE--

Gold bars provide the fastest Smithing XP only if you have Goldsmith Gauntlets. These gauntlets can be purchased in the Skilling shop for 3,000 Skilling Points. To make it even quicker you can also buy the ice gauntlets to avoid having to wait for the gold bars to cool down.

Gold Bar Alternative
If you do not have Goldsmith Gauntlets and are unwilling to make the purchase, your best option for training Smithing is to create the highest-level item from the highest-level bar you can currently smelt. See the table under the Smelting tab for more information on the hierarchy of bars.Please note that smithing Platebodys will always be the most efficient way of training with bars.

Various Bar Smithing Levels
{| class="wikitable"
In summary
In summary, Smithing is a great thing to train as it is absolutely necessary! Get those gains lads <3

The Alchemical Hydra is a boss version of hydra, found in the lower level of the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon in Mount Karuulm, requiring level 95 Slayer to kill.

*Unlike normal hydras, the Alchemical Hydra can only be killed while on a hydra Slayer task, which is only assigned by Konar.

*Along with all the unique drops obtainable from hydras, it can also drop hydra leather, which is used on the machinery south-west of the pool in the Lithkren Vault to create ferocious gloves, as well as the hydra claw, which is combined with a Zamorakian hasta to create the dragon hunter lance.

Requirements
Here are the requirements needed for the Alchemical Hydra:

*95 Slayer Is Needed to Fight the Alchemical Hydra

*90+ In all combat stats is recommended... You should have this due to the high slayer requirement anyway.

A good understanding of:

*Prayer switching

*Ability To Quickly Switch Gear

Gear Recommendations
Here is an example of a gear/inventory setup for Mid Game Gear, please note you can kill the Hydra with cheaper gear than this - e.g using a Dragon Crossbow instead of a Dragon Hunter Crossbow and Karils instead of Armadyl:

Getting There
You can get to the Alchemical Hydra by teleporting to it directly. You can do this by either right clicking the "Report" button and selecting "Teleport" or using the spirit tree at home.

Fight Overview
The Alchemical Hydra can be tough to learn, but once you have it down - it feels incredibly easy. Similar to a Jad fight.

*The player fights the Hydra in an instanced room upon jumping over the rock barrier. The chamber consists of two rooms; an observation room which is safe from the Hydra, and a set of doors leading into the test chamber where the Hydra resides. The Hydra will become aggressive and attack upon entering the test chamber, and the doors will also lock themselves. This means that the only means of escape are to either kill the boss, die, or teleportation. Players cannot log themselves out of the test chamber either.

*The Alchemical Hydra has four phases throughout the fight, depending on its remaining health. It attacks with Ranged and Magic, alternating between them every three attacks for the first three phases. At the start of each phase, it has a 75% damage reduction, which can be removed if it is lured over a vent on the floor which spews chemical liquid. However, the vent must be the correct one, corresponding to the combat triangle (e.g. when it is green, red will weaken it), otherwise the Hydra's damage is increased by up to 50%.

*When the Alchemical Hydra reaches or falls below 75%, 50%, and 25% of its health, it will lose one of its heads and begin the next phase. Barring the last phase, the damage reduction is reapplied, and so it should be lured over the next vent. It also has special attacks for each phase: poison pools when green and black, electricity when blue and fire when red. These special attacks are avoidable.

In its final phase, the Hydra will alternate combat styles every attack with increased attack speed and max hit. Its first attack will always be the opposite style to what it most recently used (e.g if its last attack in phase 3 was ranged, it will start phase 4 with magic).

When the Hydra is killed, it will respawn in approximately 25 seconds, and the doors will unlock during this time.

Rare Loot Table
The Alchemical Hydra has many noteworthy drops that propel you into end game.
Their Zenyte Shards can be crafted into the following:

Here is a list of all the rare loot you can get from Demonic Gorillas:

In Conclusion
In conclusion, the Alchemical Hydra is essential on a Slayer fan's to do list.
Many of it's drops being BIS at other bosses for example Vorkath, it is a great boss to grind... Not to mention it's pet is my favorite ;)

Vorkath
Vorkath is a powerful undead blue dragon residing on the Island of Ungael. (roughly translated as pathetic failure/weakling/runt in the dragonkin's language).

Vorkath is considered a blue dragon and zombie for the purpose of a Slayer task. As Vorkath is also undead, the Salve amulet and its variants will work on him. However, it does not stack with the Slayer helmet. Vorkath is also immune to recoil damage.

Requirements
While there are no specific requirements to fight Vorkath, I heavily recommend having 90+ Combat stats and Ranged, however you can achieve kills with lower stats - the higher the better obviously. You will also need 39 Magic to cast crumble undead on the minion Vorkath spawns. There are only two staffs that can auto cast this spell - one being a Slayer Staff which you can buy from any slayer master at home. It is imperative to bring one of these as a switch, along with the relevant runes... (Earth, Air and Chaos)

High level food is recommended, for example: Sharks or Manta Ray or Sara Brews paired with Restores. You will also want Prayer Potions, Anti Venom+ (Unless using Serpentine Helmet). a combat potion dependent on which combat style you choose (Most people use Melee or Ranged) and most important and antifire potion of sorts. Heavily recommend getting a Extended Super Antifire, paired with a Anti-Dragon Shield or a DFS.

A good understanding of:

* Basic Prayer Switching

* Pathing

Gear Recommendations
It is recommended to bring your best in slot Range or Melee armour, depending on which style you choose. For budget setups and beginners I would recommend using range... KC can be achieved using blessed d'hide and a rune crossbow paired with ruby bolts e and diamond bolts for example. Budget melee can also be achieved with a dragon sword however it will be painfully slow.

Here is an example of a gear/inventory setup for beginners for Ranged:

Getting There
You can get to the big blue boi by teleporting to "Vorkath". You can do this by either right clicking the "Report" button and selecting "Teleport" or using the spirit tree at home.

-Insert image here-

Fight Overview
Vorkath uses a variety of attacks, primarily ranged and magical attacks, as well as melee if standing next to it. Similarly to the King Black Dragon, it can also use three types of dragonfire: regular, venomous, and prayer-disabling. His dragonfire is stronger than other dragons' and requires more tiers of protection to block. The final common attack is a fireball it launches high in the air that must be dodged; it will instantly kill regardless of the player's dragonfire protection if directly struck, or deal an immense amount of damage if next to it, which is similarly unaffected by dragonfire protection.

*Here is a detailed image of all Vorkath's attacks:

After six normal/dragonfire attacks, it will use one of two special attacks and alternate between them (i.e., it will use one after 6 regular attacks, then the other after 6 more, and so on):

*Freezing the player in place and summoning a Zombified Spawn that will approach the player and explode violently if not killed, resulting in up to 61 damage

*Launching acid pools around the area and rapidly spitting fireballs at the player that must be dodged or they will deal high damage very quickly. During this time, Vorkath has a flat 50% damage reduction. It is best, while walking and not running to find a semi-long line that has no poison and to walk back and forth to avoid these attacks.

*In between these attacks, Vorkath can use his "Deadly Dragonfire" attack which a player must walk 2 tiles away from to avoid damage. If not avoided at all - players will often outright get one shot by this attack...

Once Vorkath is killed, it will return to its original unaggressive stance. It can immediately be reawoken for another battle.

-Pictures and gif's of fight mechanics to be added-

Rare Loot Table
Vorkath drops some really cool upgrades! Including some of the best bones for prayer xp and Vorkath's Head which is used to make the Ava's assembler, and two types of visages for Dragon Fire Shields!

Here is a list of Vorkath's Rare Loot Table:

* Superior Dragon Bones

* Vorkath Head for Ava's Assembler

* Dragon Bone Necklace

* Draconic Visage

* Skeletal Visage

* Pet Vorki

In Conclusion
In conclusion, Vorkath is a great mid game Boss on Simplescape. It can introduce a lot of mechanics the player learns which will help with late game grinds. Superior Dragon Bones are great XP for both Regular and Ironmen players.
There are only two staffs that can auto cast this spell - one being a Slayer Staff which you can buy from any slayer master at home. It is imperative to bring one of these as a switch, along with the relevant runes... (Earth, Air and Chaos)
In Conclusion
In conclusion, Vorkath is a great mid game Boss on Simplescape. It can introduce a lot of mechanics the player learns which will help with late game grinds. Superior Dragon Bones are great XP for both Regular and Ironmen players.

* Basic Prayer Switching

* Pathing

Here is an example of a gear/inventory setup for beginners for both Ranged and Melee:

You can get to the big blue boi by teleporting to "Vorkath". You can do this by either right clicking the "Report" button and selecting "Teleport" or using the spirit tree at home.

Fight Overview
orkath uses a variety of attacks, primarily ranged and magical attacks, as well as melee if standing next to it.

Once Vorkath is killed, it will return to its original unaggressive stance. It can immediately be reawoken for another battle.

Fight Overview
Demonic gorillas use all three combat styles to attack. They will change combat styles after missing three hits in that attack style. They are also capable of using protection prayers and will switch to the player's last used combat style against them when they have taken 50 or more damage. Therefore, players must bring at least two different combat styles to kill them. As they have very high magical defence, they are most often killed with melee and ranged.

The gorillas also have a special attack where they send a rock crashing down at the player's position, which can be easily avoided by moving one tile away from the current spot when the attack was initiated. If struck by this rock, the player will take 33% of their current health as damage; it cannot kill the player by itself as a result.

Here is a little chart that shows you corresponding over heads and attack styles that Demonic Gorillas use!
In Conclusion
In conclusion, Demonic Gorillas are essential in getting to the end game of SimpleScape, with the jewelry they supply being best in slot in many situations regarding end game content, providing enough reason to warrant grinding for them.

Vorkath (roughly translated as pathetic failure/weakling/runt in the dragonkin's language) is a draconic boss-monster first encountered during the Dragon Slayer II quest as the penultimate boss. Created by Zorgoth during the Fourth Age's Dragonkin Conflicts, the blue dragon is one of his subjects that has survived his experiments in the laboratory beneath the dragonkin fortress on Ungael. Despite its phenomenal strength, Zorgoth abandoned Vorkath due to its lack of aggression, leaving it as a 'distraction' for any humans that would stumble onto the island.

Vorkath is considered a blue dragon and zombie for the purpose of a Slayer task. As Vorkath is also undead, the Salve amulet and its variants will work on him. However, it does not stack with the Slayer helmet. Vorkath is also immune to recoil damage.

Requirements
While there are no specific requirements to gain access to Demonic Gorillas on SimpleScape, they are heavy hitters and most players use a combination of Melee and Magic gear switches, so it is recommended to have 90+ in Attack, Strength, Defense and Magic respectively.

High level food is recommended, for example: Sharks or Manta Rays .

A good understanding of:

* Prayer switching

* Ability To Quickly Switch Gear

Gear Recommendations
It is recommended to bring your best in slot melee and magic gear. For this reason a lot of player choose to use Elite Void with the Melee and Magic helmet switch, and a demon bane weapon like: Silverlight, Arclight and Darklight paired with either a crossbow set to rapid or a toxic blowpipe.

Here is an example of a gear/inventory setup for beginners:

* Off Task:

* On Task:

Getting There
You can get to the Demonic Gorillas by teleporting to the Crash Site Cavern. You can do this by either right clicking the "Report" button and selecting "Teleport" or using the spirit tree at home.

Fight Overview

Mage Arena 2 is a Mini Quest in SimpleScape that compels players to explore the deep wilderness to fight three heavy hitting, magic based mini bosses. Players are required to venture out into the wilderness, kill the 3 bosses with 3 unique spells and and collect the unique items they drop to return to Kolodion.

Requirements
* 43 Prayer for overhead prayers

* While only 60 magic is needed to cast the relevant spells which are: Saradomin Strike, Claws of Guthix and Flames of Zamorak - I heavily recommend atleast 90+ Magic, these bosses are hard hitters which can hit 20+ through prayers.

Getting Started
To start the quest, players should teleport to Mage Bank through the teleport interface. You can access this interface by right click the report button in your chat box or by using the spirit tree at Home.

Once you have arrived at the Mage Bank, talk to Kolodion the mage.

Proceed with the following dialogue to start the quest, explaining that you would like an upgraded cape:

After going through the dialogue, Kolodion will give you a "Enchanted Symbol" which will serve as a beacon of sorts for locating the three mini bosses you will need to fight later in the quest.

Finding The Bosses / Gear Setup
Now is the time! Finally time to put your big boy pants on and get into the Wilderness. First off, I would pick any of the 3 bosses that you would like to fight first (There is bugger all of a difference to be honest) and then start to hunt it...Here is a gear setup that I would recommend for Deep Wilderness travel while doing the quest - Please keep in mind you will want to equip the corresponding staff to the spell that is needed to kill each boss. Easy way to remember is like this...

Demon Guy = Flames of Zamorak

Knight Dude = Saradomin Strike

Tree thing that kinda looks like Groot from Guardians Of The Galaxy = Claws of Guthix

Please note while yes I'm aware this is incredibly basic - it is supposed to be for new people who cannot afford to risk anything... As this is a dangerous activity, if you feel comfortable risking higher tier gear then go ahead. Just don't take anything you dont want to lose. I do however recommend bring saradomin brews paired with restores instead of sharks.

To find the bosses, tele into any deep part of the wilderness that you like - I often choose the Lava Dragon Maze as it is fairly deep and central... From here you will want to activate your Enchanted Symbol, it will show you dialogue like this while dealing a small amount of damage everytime that you click it.

'Treat this like a game of Marco Polo. If the device says it is cold, try going in one of the four cardinal directions (North,East,South,West) and try again. If it says it is warmer than last time then you're going in the right direction... If not, then try another direction!

Killing The Bosses
Once you are close enough to the boss, the device will say it is "incredibly hot" and the boss you have been hunting will spawn. The fight is simple enough, protect from magic - autocast the relevant spell with the relevant staff and heal when needed. Occasionally, the bosses will cast an ice barrage attack, which you will have plenty of time to run away from and avoid entirely.

Here are what the bosses look like:

Upon death, dependent on which boss you have killed - They will drop one of the following items:

* The demon's heart

* The justiciar's hand

* The ent's roots

Each of these items will need to be returned to Kolodion by "using" the item on him. NOTE:
Unlike OSRS, you do not needed to remain in the Wilderness to return it to home! You can run South, use your Level 30 Teleport, then return to the Mage Bank using the teleport interface. I strongly suggest killing one boss per run, re-gearing and repeating as oppose to trying to kill multiple.

Finishing Up
Once you have finished returning all 3 items to Kolodion, that's it! You're all done!
From now on you will be able to get from him any of the God Cloaks that you wish - some of the easiest Mid Game BIS Magic capes that you can get!

Here are what the capes look like in game!
